- Authors
Hussain, Azar
- Abstract
The article examines scholarship regarding the possible explanation for the "lost years" of playwright William Shakespeare which contends that was prosecuted for poaching a deer from Charletcote Park, the estate of Sir Thomas Lucy. Particular attention is given to possible references to Lucy in Shakespeare's play "The Merry Wives of Windsor" and to references to deer and hunting in the earlier play "King Henry VI."
