- Abstract
The study was performed using archival data from the laboratory of genetic epidemiology of the Research Center for Medical Genetics. Of the 65 747 marriage records for Udmurtia, Chuvashia, Mari El, Bashkiria, and Tatarstan dating back to the end of the 20th century, 15 804 were selected in which at least one of the spouses was Russian. Russians make up almost 270 000 people out of the 1.2 million population of the surveyed areas. The intensity of crossbreeding of the Russian population was 52.5%. The marital ethnic assortativity was 2.3. Data is provided for all five republics.
