- Abstract
A novel charge-transfer molecular assembly formed by electron-acceptor tetracyanoquinone and electron-donor hydroxyquinoline via charge-transfer interactions has been developed as a selective sensor for Co(II). Based on obvious absorption changes, cobalt can be determined in the range from 2.5 × 10-6 mol L-1 to 1.5 × 10-5 mol L-1 with a detection limit of 3.1 × 10-7 mol L-1 at pH 7.0.
