Hierarchical loop-flower basis for solving electric field integral equation.

- Abstract
A novel kind of hierarchical loop-flower bases is presented for solving electric field integral equation. Compared with conventional hierarchical loop-tree-based method, the total bases for proposed hierarchical loop-flower-based method can be reduced a third. Thus, the memory and time cost can be largely reduced. The hierarchical loop-flower basis function is defined on a hierarchical mesh which can be generated by a mesh refinement algorithm. By expanding the current with the hierarchical loop-flower bases, the solenoidal and non-solenoidal current are separated and thus the EFIE low-frequency breakdown issue can be remedied. In addition to that a multiresolution preconditioner technology is also introduced to fast up the iterative convergence speed. Some examples show that the basis number is largely reduced.
