- Abstract
The article discusses a coherent framework which explores the dominant limitations to the capacity to evaluate post-fire water contamination risk as well as the advances towards addressing them across post-fire environments. The management of post-fire water contamination risks by the potential generation, mobilization, and accumulation of contaminants in aquatic environments is tackled. Some examples illustrating limitations in existing approaches following fire are also explored.
