- Abstract
The article focuses on capitalism and capitalist history according to Austrian-born American economist and political scientist Joseph Schumpeter. It also mentions that Schumpeter believed that the concept of capitalism coined by German economist Karl Marx that productive dynamics of capitalism generate crises and could be termed as “creative destruction." In crises new means of production, new technologies, and new labour practices, displace those that were dominant in a previous moment.
