- Title
Swords into Ploughshares: The Case for Christian Nationalism.
- Authors
Tudur, Geraint
- Abstract
In this article, Dr Geraint Tudur explains how modern Welsh nationalism has developed in a different way from the nationalist movements of other countries. He explains the part of the reason for this is that Wales was deeply under the influence of the Nonconformist traditions during its embryonic stage in the nineteenth century, and that the morality of Nonconformity left an indelible mark on nationalist sentiments. He then explores the possibility of developing a nationalist standpoint that is not only influenced by Christian morality, but grows directly from it. He claims that his model should be of particular interest to Congregationalists.
