- Abstract
Vaclav Friĕ (Czech Republic) was one of the numerous sellers of zoological items for museums of natural history from Europe at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century, rewarded with several European prizes. Some of the pieces had a didactic purpose (gem imitations, Protozoa, models or real ones, models of fossils). The catalogue of 642 real or model specimens contains species of invertebrates, vertebrates, fossils, gem imitations bought by Grigore Antipa from Václav Frič at the beginning of the 20th century for the "Grigore Antipa" National Museum of Natural History from Bucharest, Romania.
