- Abstract
This article provides information on research in progress about work performance and satisfaction. Researchers Mickey Petty and Charles Odewahn are investigating levels of job satisfaction between union and nonunion members in public organizations, correlating the objective measures of organizational performance. Another researcher Jack Kaufman is evaluating a quality of work experiment involving Con Edison and the Utilities Workers of America. Other researchers are studying topics such as the impact of behavior modification on performance improvement and the effect of work pace on physiological and psychological stress.
