- Abstract
The article explores the necessity of global coordination of food safety policy and management in providing a safe food supply in the globalized economy. It notes that global coordination of food safety management involves collaborative efforts of the national governments and private industries to secure the safety of products. Moreover, the U.S. has played a central role in the development of an international consensus in the modernization of food safety policy.
