- Abstract
At a time when the extent of the discrimination experienced by North African Jews during the Shoah and afterwards is being questioned, we interviewed Jews of Moroccan origin about manifestations of anti-Semitism and their memories of these events, which eventually led to their departure from Morocco. Based on the recollections of discriminatory moments or incidents of 16 people whose oral testimonies we collected between 1980 and 2018, we will show how the transmission of these traumas from one generation to the next constitutes a decisive element that inscribes these migratory processes in the history of the post-Shoah period.
