- Abstract
Wireless magnetic induction through-the-earth communication realizes information transmission through quasi-static magnetic field coupling, which can effectively solve the problems such as unstable channel, short transmission distance and large antenna size in traditional electromagnetic wave through-the-earth communication. The model of magnetic induction through-the-earth communication is established, the attenuation law of magnetic field in different directions is analyzed, as well as the influence of such main parameters as transmitting antenna, receiver position, receiver sensor sensitivity and the earth permeability on transmission distance. The function relationships between transmission distance and above parameters are obtained. Through simulation and analysis, the following conclusion is drawn: the magnetic induction through-the-earth communication has the advantages of long transmission distance and little influence on the geological media, and the through-the-earth depth can reach more than 600 m under appropriate parameter configuration.
