- Authors
McPhillips, Kathleen
- Abstract
The author reflects on the impact of regional political and economic conditions on women to economic, political, and religious resources. She claims that many of the women's reform movements that hailed institutional church change have all but ceased with diminishing congregational numbers and growing conservative agendas. She further expresses that feminism has experienced a backlash and the position of women in mainstream Christianity have improved.
