- Abstract
The article offers information on the implication of wood dust exposure to laryngeal cancer in Germany. This type of cancer is the second most common cancer of respiratory tract. Research reveals that there is a crude incidence of 7 out of 100,000 in males and 1 out of 100,000 of females. Such data reveals that the risk of laryngeal cancer increases substantially attributed to the amount and duration of cigarette smoking and extensive alcohol consumption. Researchers found that drinking alcohol in combination with tobacco smoking greatly increases the risk for laryngeal cancer.
