- Abstract
This article presents a study which focuses on the long-term follow-up of low-dose cyclosporin treatment for psoriasis. Thirteen patients with chronic severe psoriasis not responsive to other current therapeutic modalities were treated with long-term, low-dose, cyclosporin. The dose of cyclosporin ranged from 1 to 4 mg/kg/day. There was no correlation between cyclosporin blood levels and clinical response. Five patients had a significant rise in blood pressure; in two cases this was transient and in three cases continuing antihypertensive treatment was necessary.
