- Authors
Payne, Stephen R.
- Abstract
Non-communicable diseases such as BPH, prostate and bladder cancers are becoming more common, and will become more pressing issues for LMIC communities in the future. Over 2022 Urolink and its collaborators have had an opportunity to present their experiences of working together in low or low-middle income countries (LMICs) in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Diseases present late, so bladder and prostate cancers, which are common, usually present at an advanced stage, or with metastatic disease; nephrolithiasis is often accompanied by obstruction or urosepsis, not just symptoms.
