Predicts postoperative gas bloating after laparoscopic antireflux procedures based on 24-h pH acid reflux pattern. Mild preoperative gas-related symptoms and upright or mixed patterns of acid reflux in gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) patients; Differences in gas-related symptomatology between patients who underwent a laparoscopic floppy Nissen fundoplication and those who had a Toupet procedure; Frequency of postoperative gas-related problems in GERD patients who had aerophagia as a comorbidity and underwent a Nissen fundoplication.
