- Abstract
The article discusses the implications of a new non-governmental organization (NGO) law on foreign NGOs in China. Topics discussed include the supervision of foreign NGOs by the Ministry of Public Security, the tighter regulation of foreign NGOs with regards to their registration, operation and funding to protect national security, and the taxation of NGOs. Also mentioned are the compliance of the NGOs with the Chinese unified accounting system and industries that can be served by the NGOs including education, science and technology, and health.
