- Abstract
How can libraries adapt to new trends and technologies and how can they take advantage of current marketing strategies to promote themselves more effectively? How can readers be involved in this process, transforming them from classic users into active supporters of the library? Answers to these questions can be the examples presented, which describe some less conventional marketing and advertising strategies, as well as atypical successful campaigns implemented by libraries and museums, which have had an impact on readers. There are also some recommendations and suggestions for actions that can be organized with limited financial resources, but which can lead to a significant increase in the visibility of a library in the public space. Adopting innovative marketing techniques developed with limited resources, but with a high impact on the target audience, can be the solution for libraries to increase their popularity and use.
