- Abstract
Self ‐ Assembly Nanostructured ionic bridged silsesquioxanes were obtained by sol–gel processing from imidazolium ‐ based organosilanes bearing urea groups and alkylene side chains. In their Full Paper on page 2235 ff., Michel Wong Chi Man et al. report the formation of bilayer nanostructures consisting alternately of planes of hydrophilic siloxane networks and hydrophobic organic layers, as revealed by powder X ‐ ray diffraction, FTIR spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy analyses. The picture on the Inside Cover shows the arrangement of the structures by referring to an alignment of badminton shuttlecocks.
