- Abstract
Complexes with the composition [Pr(H2O)4(NO3)(C36H36N24O12)](NO3)2·7H2O (1), [{Pr(H2O)4(NO3)}2 (C36H36N24O12)][Pr(NO3)6](NO3), (2), and [{Ho(H2O)5}2(C36H36N24O12)](NO3)6·2HNO3·9H2O (3) are prepared by heating a mixture of lanthanide nitrates, cucurbit[6]uril, and water. According to single crystal XRD data, metal binding with the macrocycle in the complexes occurs due to the coordination of oxygen atoms of cucurbit[6]uril portals to lanthanide(III) cations. The lanthanide(III) complexes are the examples of compounds with cucurbit[6]uril classified as coordination polymers.
