The article outlines several analytical frameworks for conceptualizing the future trajectory of the international laws. It explores the conventional understanding of the international law as a field associated with functional lines. It discusses how certain recent developments are depicting the standard account increasingly obsolete and offers three conceptual approaches to international law's future.
