- Authors
Huntington, Dorothy S.
- Abstract
The article recounts how the Health Department in New York City revised the Health Code regulations to allow for infant group day care services, proclaim protective guidelines for their operation, participates in the planning and functioning of the day care center, and foster the development of training. The Health Department set standards, licenses, and offers consultation that cover all aspects important to health in the day care center. The infant group day care in New York City which acts as a service operation, has showed that the Health Department Guidelines approved as part of the Health Code will provide the necessary safeguards to infant health.
