- Title
Cyberbullying and Sexual Harassment: Bullying and Harassment in a Digital World.
- Authors
Englander, Elizabeth
- Abstract
With the near-ubiquitous use of social media among young persons, digital communication has become a conduit for the expression of the worst as well as the best of human instincts. Social media draws people together; it also tears people apart. In this article, psychologist Elizabeth Englander describes the different forms of harassment and abuse that commonly occur on digital platforms; these include digital sexual harassment, digital dating violence, revenge porn, and cyberstalking--all of which, like their in-vivo counterparts, can induce trauma in victims.
