- Title
Fukushima Daiichi: a Never-Ending Story of Pain or Outrage?
- Authors
Spector, Hannah
- Abstract
The author examines the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster in Japan in 2011 to explain the concept of educational cosmopolitanism. She mentions that educational cosmopolitanism was portrayed as a form of governmentality which includes some students and excludes the rest in its educational reform design. She cites the failure of the Japanese government and the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) to determine the extent of the nuclear disaster.
