The article presents a case study of a 17-year-old white male who was admitted to hospital after being treated for Asperger syndrome and bipolar disorder. The patient had a history of painful cutaneous wounds on his left knee. He later readmitted to the hospital because he inserted paint thinner in his body. According to various medical examinations, patient was suffering from the Munchausen syndrome.
