- Abstract
The fabric fracture process of the wool-like fabric under tensile can easily be observed, while the yarn deformation and fracture of fabric were difficult to obtain. 4 pieces of polyester wool-like fabric under tensile were monitored with high-speed camera, and the yarns diameter and rupture duration of fabric were acquired. The results show that the yarns diameter of fabric is decreased linearly over time under tensile, and its slope is related to the fabric tightness of unstretched direction. The larger the fabric tightness of unstretched direction, the faster the diameter. The yarn breakage duration is short, and the time is negative correlation to the coefficient of strength utilization of the fabric.
