- Abstract
The article focuses on the study that examines the assemblage of bats with varying degrees of disturbance in the montane forests of Carrasco National Park in Bolivia. The researchers evaluated the effect of human disturbance due to traditional agricultural activities on the bat communities for 11 months. The study reveals that the montane forests are characterized by sites with high biodiversity and endemism, however, they are also at risk of disturbance. Carollia perspicillata, C. brevicauda and Artibeus lituratus are some of the most abundant species in the forests.
