- Abstract
The article discusses research on the eating habits of dhole, Cuon alpinus, or Asiatic wild dog living in Satpura Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh, India. The research, conducted from June 2005 to August 2005, made use of scats obtained from different sites within the area. Seven prey species were found via scat analysis. It found that sambar, Cervus unicolor, accounted 46.97 percent of the scar sample. Of the seven preys, the lowest were the barking deer, Muntiacus muntjak and the jungle fowl, Gallus gallus.
