The article discusses the relationship between bone health and medications used for headaches. Drugs that have an adverse effect on density of the bone include anti-epileptic drugs, antidepressants, benzodiazepines, glucocorticoids, proton pump inhibitors and thyroxine. Few recommendations are also provided such as regular weight-bearing exercise, vitamin D and calcium supplementation to prevent low density of bones due to drug intake.
