The author reflects on the immunization strategies which could be implemented to control the threat of evading immune control of influenza A virus. She states that the use of strain-specific serologic immunity with the help of inactivated vaccines is the current strategy for immunization. He suggests that T cell-mediated influenza immunity should be boosted in order to achieve more protective immunization strategy.
