- Abstract
The article presents a study on the application of debasement using the Millon Clinical Multi-Axial Inventory III (MCMI-II) in a forensic clinical population. For the study, researchers gathered 142 MCMI-III profiles over a 17-month period through a forensic psychology service. They considered the participants' personality variables, offending history, presenting problems and referral situations. They found that situational variable seem to have an effect on debasement as would be expected by the adaptional model of malingering.
