- Abstract
A literary criticism of the play "Eastward Ho," written by George Chapman, Ben Jonson, and John Marston is presented. It outlines the characters which helped people understand the relationship of playwrights and patrons and the social roles of parody and fantasy. Also mentioned are the social place of playwrights, power of performance, and King James' objections to the play.
