The article focuses on the statutory invention registration system of the U.S. Topics discussed include the process of granting patents by the U.S. Patent Office being time consuming, disclosure of inventions under the America Invents Act (AIA), the need for the statutory invention registration system to be cost-free, the need for the system to be administered by the patent office and the system being required by startup ventures, universities and companies in early stages.
