The article focuses on how the transferred intent doctrine developed to provide for redress in cases where tort law traditionally left plaintiffs empty handed. Topics discussed include doctrine based on transferred intent be applied to climate change fraud cases; substantial step toward holding companies like those in the fossil fuel industry liable for misrepresentations and sea level rise or other climate-change caused phenomena resulting from global warming.
