- Authors
MANUWALD, GESINE
- Abstract
The article describes the case study of "Flatfoot: A Roman Comedy of Bad Manners" and "Flatfoot, incorporating the comedy The Swaggering Soldier by Titus Maccius Plautus," by Australian dramatist David Williamson. It explores the effect of ancient Roman playwright Plautus on contemporary Australia, as he was depicted in the plays. It presents how Williamson demonstrates to his audience that the problems in a global world remain the same though situations and societies change.
