- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the state and attitude, needs and preferences of students from major engineering institutions of the Uttar Pradesh, India. The study examined the state of English language teaching (ELT) for engineers. The importance of English language skills in the business and industry is explained. Recommendations are given in order to improve English language skills among engineering students, including the use of specific and well-defined content and trained teachers.
