- Abstract
The article discusses reports of pesticide poisoning received by the Washington State Department of Agriculture in Douglas County. An investigation by the state's Department of Health is said to have determined that 20 Hispanic farmworkers in a cherry orchard were exposed to airblast spray of novaluron, pyridaben and triflumizole in a nearby pear farm. Off-target pesticide drift is noted to produce moderate-severity neurologic, ocular and respiratory illnesses.
