The article features the work of May Sarton, a poet and novelist who is equally known for her autobiographical works. It gives a detailed account on Sarton's work pieces which includes several memoirs like "I Knew a Phoenix," "Plant Dreaming Deep" and "A World of Light" so as with her eight works that she titled or sub-titled Journals. It highlights her famous work entitled "Journal of a Solitude," which is considered as the watershed in women's autobiography. Moreover, it recounts on the way and style Sarton have worked on with her journals.
