In the article, the author examines the poetry of poet Elizabeth Siddall, particularly her poetics of decreation. Also cited are the alleged refusal of W. M. Rossetti and Christina Rossetti to publish Siddall's poems due to their excessive melancholy, how Siddall was inspired by medieval sources as her balladic subjects, and the Christian mysticism in Siddall's poems.
