- Abstract
The article presents an examination into the influence shared between the French poet Charles Baudelaire and the English poet Algernon Charles Swinburne. Introductory details are given pointing out the contradictory and vague ways in which the two authors share thematic ideology. The paradoxical influence and opposing resistance between the two figures is discussed in depth, focusing on their mutual engagement with accusations of obscenity.
