- Title
Climate-control plans scrutinized.
- Authors
Brumfiel, Geoff
- Abstract
The article provides an overview on the analysis by the British scientific organization, Royal Society, concerning a host of controversial methods for altering the climate of the Earth. It specifies that geoengineering could slow or halt climate change by either prohibiting the amount of sunlight heating Earth's surface or reducing levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. However, the organization says that this approach could stifle the Asian monsoons or change the ocean's oxygenation.
