- Abstract
There is much difference between final replacement ratio of existing CO2 replacement experiments of gas hydrate and theoretical replacement ratio of 75%. In order to improve final replacement ratio of gas hydrate, from the perspective of increasing replacement driving force, based on positive correlation relationship between component gas fugacity and its volume fraction in mixed gases, a new experimental method of CO2 huff-and-puff replacement of gas hydrate is proposed, i.e. multi-rounds huff-and-puff replacements of CO2 injection-replacement-mixed gas releasing-CO2 reinjection-replacement. According to the new experimental method, processes of conventional CO2 replacement and multi-rounds huff-and-puff replacing CH4 hydrate are simulated in self-designed reactor with pressure of 2.54 MPa and temperature of 276.35 K. The results show that, with same replacement conditions, 3- rounds huff-and-puff replacement experiment gets final replacement ratio of 46%, being 1.48 times of conventional replacement experiment with final replacement ratio of 31%. With the increase of huff-and-puff rounds and continuous increase of hydrates replacement ratio, the final replacement ratio of the third round huff-and-puff replacement experiment increases from 28% at the end of the first round to 46%. Experiment result proves the correctness and feasibility of new method of gas hydrate huff-and-puff replacement experiment, and the research further expands the theory and method of gas hydrate replacement production.
