- Abstract
An interview with African Scottish writer Jackie Kay is presented. Kay mentions the influences of identity politics in the political settings in Scotland and Northern England. She outlines the identity issues in the margins of the British society as an African American and her perspective view of being a lesbian and to the heterosexual communities. She also believes on the advantage of having multiple identities as an artist as her inspiration in creating her literary works.
