- Abstract
The article presents the response of the authors to a reaction by Normanno et al to their study on the use of epidermal growth factor receptor-(EGFR-)targeted therapy in the prognosis of metastatic colorectal cancer. Normanno et al showed the clinical value of BRAFV600E mutations in conferring resistance to EGFR-targeted therapy. The authors agree on the confirmation of the role of novel biomarkers in the context of a randomized trial.
