The article focuses on the legacy of Simon Nkoli, an anti-apartheid, gay rights, and HIV/AIDS activist in South Africa. Topics include the need for contemporary remembrance practices that highlight the struggles faced by queer individuals and the importance of engaging with Nkoli's life and activism; and views on Nkoli's visibility, resistance efforts, and the forms of solidarity inspired by his legacy.
