- Abstract
The article offers information on the conflict of laws involved in the law of patents and trademarks in the U.S. and how these conflicts can be avoided through conflict avoidance approach. It mentions that fringe problem is the most common and biggest problem in the patent and trademark related legal conflicts. It investigates the conflicts in contracts related to patents with a court case involving British Nylon Spinners Ltd. (BNS) and Imperial Chemical Industries Ltd. (ICI). It highlights few cases involving conflicts in contracts related to trademarks.
