- Title
A NOTE ON THE CONSTITUTIONALITY OF STATE UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION LAWS.
- Authors
RICE, JR., LEON L.
- Abstract
The article presents information on the constitutionality of the state unemployment compensation laws in the U.S. It is stated that though all the enacted state statutes are compulsory, they are not uniform in character, entirely. Also mentioned is that the term 'tax' has no well-defined implication, in this context. Several cases including those of Mountain Timber Co., Noble State Bank v. Haskell, Railroad Pension Case, and Adkins v. Children's Hospital, are also discussed by the author, in the article.
