- Abstract
The article examines the problems of entry, exit and competition in the product markets in Ukraine. It is noted that the main impediments to entry and exit involve the product of excessive and ill administered regulation in the country. It offers a systematic assessment of product-market regulation of the country using the indicators developed by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. It is ended that the issue clearly suggests the potential benefits of privatization combined with regulatory and other reforms aimed at strengthening competition.
