- Abstract
The odontectomy of the inferior wisdom molar was performed on three patients aged 16, 24, 35 respectively. The grades of difficulty of the three cases were different from I-B class to III-C class according to Pell and Gregory. The postextraction alveoli were filled with PRGF (plasma rich in growth factors) in order to reduce the post surgical symptoms and to accelerate alveolar bone regeneration. The preparation of the PRGF was made by a single centrifugation at 460 G speed for 8 minutes. The appliance of the preparation in itself, or mixed with bone collected by regularization of the osseous margins led to a superior osseous healing to that obtained by applying only the gore in four months. The shortening of the osseous healing period after the odontectomy of the inferior wisdom molars, emphasizes the remarkable bio-stimulating qualities of this autologus preparation.
